Dr. Joseph Mudiope is a holder of a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture and M.Sc. in Crop Science both attained from Makerere University, Kampala and a PhD in Agriculture obtained on sandwich program between the Universities of Bonn, Germany and Makerere, Uganda. Besides, he trained in Integrated Agriculture Water Management; Participatory Approaches to Research and Scaling Up; Performance Monitoring and Evaluation of Agricultural projects conducted by the Monitoring and Evaluation Management Services (MEMS) under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He has experience in designing, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of agriculture, nutrition, environment and rural Agro enterprise programs. He recently worked a Senior Program Officer with Kilimo Trust; an organization supporting the transformation of food security in the East African region from high risk subsistence farming to low risk trade-based systems supporting mainly value chain actors of cassava, beans and rice to adopt superior market oriented technologies. Previously he worked as the Agriculture and Environment Coordinator with the Millennium Villages Project in Uganda. The project is addressing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to lift developing countries out of the poverty trap. He also worked with Africare as the Manager for Agricultural Production, Post Harvest Handling and Marketing, under the Uganda Food Security Initiative (UFSI) Project funded by USAID.
