DrIsunjuholds a PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies (GIS, remote sensing and urban risk reduction), Stellenbosch University, Bachelor of Environmental Health Science (BEHS) and a Masters of Integrated Water Resources Management (MIWRM) – specialized in ‘Water for People’ (Water supply and Sanitation, Wastewater management, and Water Utility Management). John Bosco combines specialized training and vast experience in aspects of water, sanitation and hygiene. He is a Certified Environmental Impact Assessor and has professional experience of over 9 years in the fields of Water and Sanitation, Wastewater management, and Environmental Health. Previously, he worked as a Public Health Specialist with the DWD – Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) where he was mostly offering technical support to local governments in sanitation and hygiene promotion. He has been involved as a Lead Consultant and partner in multiple research projects and Consultancies. John Bosco has been a Lead Training Consultant on several assignment including, Water Quality Assessment and Surveillance in Pader, Mpigi, Kalangala, Lyantonde, Rakai, Ssembabule, Masaka, Katakwi, Amuria, Kampala and Mukonodistricts. He has published a monograph on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and articles in peer reviewed journals in addition to presenting in various international conferences. He has also done consultancies with leading practitioners including: The International Rescue Committee (IRC), The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), The WaterAid-Uganda, The Concern Worldwide, The Uganda Red Cross and The Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE).
