Ajello possesses a Masters in Public Health and a Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences both from Makerere University Kampala. Grace has over 15 years of experience in the in the field of water, hygiene, sanitation and community mobilization. She has vast experience and skills in implementing WASH activities, providing technical support, coaching, mentoring, guiding and support supervision monitoring and managing programmes /projects in informal settlements of Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA). Has expertise in community, sensitization and advocacy at all levels. Providing advice, build /strengthen capacity of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) stakeholders. Have experience as a facilitator in capacity building of stakeholders using WASH Participatory Methodologies; Community Lead Total Sanitation (CLTS), Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST), Sanitation Marketing(SanMark). These are aimed to empower households, communities to develop solutions to local challenges, constraints, create demand for sanitation services and to achieve Open Defeacation Free (ODF) environment. Skilled in the formulation of public health Ordinances, byelaws Promoter of National Improved Sanitation and Hygiene(ISH)Strategy to achieve enabling Environment (political will), Supply chain (training of masons, involvement of private sector) and Demand creation for sanitation and hygiene services (Training of communities in participatory methodologies). She has experience in community mobilization, identification of local cooperation partners and training of communities and third parties (village health teams, community campaigners, etc.). She is also experienced in the development/implementation of marketing campaigns, instruments and materials, etc.
